Ar- rived in Hongkong, April, 1855, and went same year to Canton; in 1856, was sent to Takow, Formosa; in 1857, joined firm of Tait and Co., of Amoy ; in 1860, commenced business at Swatow in conjunction with C. W. Bradley, under the style of Bradley and Co., and has since been con- nected with that port.
