(e) Renewal survey carried out concurrently with a special survey for classi-

In the case of the survey of a classed ship for renewal of the load-line rertificate, the fee in column 2 shall be paid if the renewal is carried out currently with a special survey for classification purposes, for which a fee 2 charged; otherwise the fee will be 50 per cent. of that in column 1.

Issue or renewal survey carried out concurrently with survey for

Ing Kong passenger or passenger and safety certificate:

Where the survey for the issue or renewal of a load-line certificate is arried out by a Hong Kong Government Surveyor concurrently with that

a passenger or passenger and safety certificate, and the ship is-

(i) a classed ship-no fee will be charged under column 1 or column 2; (ii an unclassed ship-half the fee under columu 4 or column 5 shall be paid. (e) Annual survey carried out concurrently with survey for Hong Kong jasenger or passenger and safety certificate;

Where the annual load-line survey is made by a Hong Kong Government Surveyer at the same time as the survey for the issue of a passenger or senger and safety certificate, no fee will be charged under column 3 or

() Survey where minor alterations have been made to a ship: Where minor alterations have been made to a ship having a load-line certificate in force, which involve an alteration of the freeboard but do not require a full survey, the fee in column 2 shall be paid whether the ship be classed or unclassed.

(g) Partial survey for issue of a short term certificate :

Where for special reasons a partial survey is made and a certificate is issuerl ri renewed for a period not exceeding twelve months, one-half of the standard fe appropriate to a full survey shall be paid.

Survey in dry dock for buttom certificate.

8.-(a) For a ship holding any Hong Kong passenger certificate or its ac- cepted equivalent the fee for the survey of the outside of the hull in dry dock is to $45 if the ship is 10,000 tons (gross) or under, and $60 if the ship is above 10,000 tons (gross).

(8) If the ship does not hold Hong Kong passenger certificate or its jaivalent the fee for this survey is to be one-fourth of the full fee for survey for a passenger certifients with the addition thereto of $15 for each propeller shaft drawn for examination.

(c) The fee covers the issue of a dry docking certificate, but for a duplicate copy of the certificate a further fee of $7.50 is to be charged.

(d) If this survey is part of the complete survey for a passenger certificate, adline, etc., no separate fee is to be charged.

Inspection of Crew Spaces.

9.-(a) The fee for each visit of the surveyor to the ship is $15 but the total fee is not to exceed $60 when more than four separate visits are necessary,

(6) This fee is not to be charged when the inspection of the crew spaces is made at the same time as the measurement for tommage, or the survey prior to re-registry.

Inspection of Markings.

10-(a) When application for the inspection is made by the owners or their agent a fee of $15 is to be charged.

(b) This fee covers any number of visits required by the Surveyor for the

inspection of the markings, but does not cover any other service.

(c) No charge is to be made for the inspection of markings on change of tate, or change of Port of Registry of a ship; or if the ship is heing measured for registry or re-registry and the fee for tonnage measurement has been paid,

Inspection of Lights and Stund Signals.

11.-(a) When application for inspection is made by the owners, or their agent the fee to be charged for each visit of the Surveyor to a ship is $15, but the total fee is not to exceed 860 when more than four separate visits are necessary | wing to the lights and/or sound signals being found defective or for any other

reison.

(4) This fee covers the issue of a copy of the report of the inspection bat, for A duplicate copy, a further fee of $4.50 is to be charged.

(c) This inspection is covered by the fees paid for survey for passenger rertificate; clearance as an emigrant ship; measurement for tonunge under Rule 1, or survey for seaworthiness prior to re-registry.
