The Rutes are payable quarterly in advance within the first month of each

quarter.

These Rates are chargeable on, and recoverable from, the owners and or occupiers of the touements in respect of which the above assessments have been made.

On and after the 1st April, 1938. every bat made on any totalisator or pari- mutual authorised under the Betting Duty Ordinancet bere shall be charged a duty of Two per cent of the amount paid, contributed or subscribed.

On every Cash-sweep ticket sold and on every Cash-sweep chance allocated by list there shall be charged a duty of 5 por ceut, of the amount paid, contributed or subscribed.

The Secretary, Treasurer nad every Steward and Member of the Committee of management of the Club, as well as the Club itself if a Corporation, shall be jointly und severally liable for the duty payable.
