The China Motor Bus Company, Limited, and the Kowloon Motor Bus Com- pany (1933) Limited, for the privilege of antiulaining services of Motor buses on the Island of Hong Kong aul the Kawbon Peninsula (in zlading the New Territories) rospectively for a period of fifteen years from the 11th Juue, 1983, shall pay certain royalties or percentages based upon gross conual receipts.

The Hong Kong Telephone Co., Ltd., shrill pay to the Accountant-General as a Royalty for the concession, on the 1st day of July in every year during the aforesaid period of fifty years, commencing on the 1st day of July, 1926, the sum of $4 in respect of each direct exchange line telephone which has been used and paid for during the whole previous twolve months by a subscriber, cases where direct exchange line telephones have been used and paid for by subscribers for periods of less than twelve months prior to the 1st day of July in each year, the umount of royalty to be paid by the Company shall be $1 for each direct exchange line telephone for each period of three mouths or less during which such telephone has been used and paid for by a subscriber. The Hong Kong Tramways Limited, shall pay to the Accountant-General the
following Royalties, that is to say:—
(a.) From 22nd September, 1914, for the period of twenty-five years, a Royalty amounting to five per ceut, per annum of the profits of
the Company.
(6.) After the said period of twenty-five years (22ud September, 1939) has expired and for so long as the Company shall exercise their said rights, powers and authorities a Royalty amounting to twenty-five per ceat, per annum of the profits of the Company. For the purpose of this section profits shall be the gross takings of the Company less working expenses, and such working expenses shall not be deemed to include any interest or dividends upon any moneys borrowed for the purposes of the Company.
The Hong Kong and Yuamati Ferry Company, Limited, for the privilege of maintaining a passenger and vehicles ferry service for a period of fifteen years from the 12th June, 1933, shall pay certain royalties or percentages based upon gross annual receipts.
