CHARGES FOR THE STORAGE OF GUNPOWDER AND OTHER EXPLOSIVES IN THE GOVERNMENT DEPÔTS

GUNPOWDER STORAGE

The minimum charge for a month or fraction of a month for any one lot or quantity on storage shall be $1. Except as above, the charge shall be 25 cents for each 50 lbs. or fraction of 50 lbs., gross weight, for a month or fraction of a month.

The weight of the various packages will be determined at the time of storing, and no alteration will be allowed after they have been received into the magazine.

The Government will not be responsible for damage by explosion, or by insufficient or improper packing; and, as wooden packages are liable to the attacks of white ants, they should be tin-lined, and the lining should be intact.

STORAGE OF ARMS

For single packages:

(a) not exceeding 50 lbs. gross weight — $1 a month or fraction of a month for each package.

(b) exceeding 50 lbs. gross weight — $1 a month or fraction of a month, or 25 cents a month or fraction of a month for each 50 lbs. or fraction of 50 lbs. of the gross weight of the package, whichever shall be the greater.

For consignments:

$1 a month or fraction of a month, or 25 cents a month or fraction of a month for each 50 lbs. or fraction of 50 lbs. of the gross weight of the consignment, whichever shall be the greater.

FEES FOR PAINTING NUMBERS ON JUNKS AND OTHER VESSELS

The painting and branding of numbers upon Junks and other vessels, as required by Sub-sections (5), (6) and (7) of Section 39, shall be done to the satisfaction of the Harbour Master, and by persons duly instructed in that behalf by him. The scale of fees for such painting shall be as follows:
