Imports totalled $5.9 millions as compared with $6.4 millions, and exports $3.2 millions as compared with $4.3 millions.
Imports of Cigars decreased from 35,416 lbs. ($116.251) to 14,785 lbs. ($71,894). the Philippine Islands decreased from 20,430 lbs. ($87,089) to 12,382 lbs. ($60,877),

Imports of Cigarettes increased from 1.3 million lbs. ($2.6 millions) to 1.9 million lbs. ($2.7 millions). whilst exports decreased from 2.5 million lbs. ($2.7 millions) to 1.9 million lbs. ($2.0 millions). Imports from the United Kingdom decreased from 371,131 lbs. ($1.6 millions) to 339,117 lbs. ($1.1 millions); whilst imports from North China increased from 912,782 lbs. (8927,768) to 1.4 million lbs. ($1.5 millions), South China from 3,427 lbs. (86,300) to 45,741 lbs. ($36,186), and U.S.A. from 28,501 lbs. ($72.867) to 35,000 lbs. ($77,684). Exports to British Malaya decreased from 609,458 lbs. ($662,044) to 280,501 lbs. ($283,362), North China from 195,206 lbs. ($185,070) to 3,132 lbs. (86,207)), French Indo- China from 156,290 lbs. ($186,676) to 60,567 lbs. ($106,981), and Siam from 340,998 lbs. ($304,802) to 167,480 lbs. ($171,691).
Imports of Foreign Prepared Tobacco increased from 19,408 lbs. 1873,861) to 20,606 lbs. ($59,984). Imports from the United Kingdom decreased from 13,168 lbs. ($35,976) to 11,438 lbs. ($43,156), whilst imports from U.S.A, increased from 5,316 lbs. (814,774) to 8,800 Ilis. ($16,370).
Imports of Haw Tobacco decreased from 80 million lbs. (82.9 millions) to 7.1 million lbs. ($2.3 millions), and exports from 2.4 million lbs. ($748.807) to 2.2 million lbs. (8491,943).
There were increased imports from North and South China, and decreased imports from U.S.A.
VEHICLES.
Imports totalled 9.9 millions as compared with $3.4 millions, and exports $3.1 millions as compared with $2.0 millions, There was
a large increase in imports and exports of Bicycles and Tricycles. Imports amounted to $385,824 as compared with $161,573, and exports to $259,470 as compared with $127,810. Imports from the United Kingdom increased from $66,790 to $190,818, and Japan from $68,870 to $175,697.
Imports of Motor Cars decreased from 726 cars ($1.5 millions) to 689 ears ($1.1 millions), whilst exports increased from 253 cars ($484,541) to 387 curs ($587,521). Imports from the United Kingdom amounted to 337 cars valued at $527,811, as compared with 220 cars valued at $498,069; Canada 150 cars ($236.859) as compared with 326 cars ($598.883); and U.S.A. 170 cars ($295.544) as compared with 123 cars ($270,572). Exports 40 South China increased from 150 cars ($305,624) to 306 cars ($481,276).
Imports of Motor Lorry Chassis increased from 190 classis (8446.777) to 546 chassis ($876,041). Imports from the United Kingdom increased from 21 chassis ($145,035) to 37 chussis ($132,608); Canada from 10 chassis ($13,077) to 87 chassis ($108,342); Germany from 5 chassis ($20,600) to 55 chassis ($187,000); Japan from ail to 22 chassis ($24,648); and U.S.A. from 151 chassis ($264,388) to 345 chassis ($424,043).
WEARING APPAREL.
Imports totalled $3.6 millions as compared with $4.0 millions, and exports $6.2 millions as compared with $8.5 millions.

Imports of Leather Boots and Shoes decreused from $232,808 to $196,623, the chief countries of supply being the United Kingdon, U.S.A., Japan, and Other Countries which latter includes Czecho-Slovakia.
Imports of Rubber and Canvas Shoes amounted to $984,027 as compared with $656,024, whilst ex- ports amounted to $2.2 millions as compared with $3.3 millions. Imports from Japan increased from $463,976 to $878,978, whilst exports to the United Kingdom decreased from $1.8 millions to $1.2 millions.
Imports of Hats and Caps fell from $520,517 to $306,005, there being decreased imports from the United Kingdom, Italy, Germany and Japan, and an increase from U.S.A.
Imports of Hosiery (other than Sitky decreased from $307,999 to $246,280, whilst exports declined from $677,873 to $352,942. Imports from North and South China decreased, whilst imports from Japan increased from $115,480 to $148,050. Exports to British Malaya decreased from $45,728 to $21,556; India from $17,870 to $11.944; British West Indies from $200,073 to $128,711; and South American countries from $92,006 to $10,897.
Imports of Singlets declined from $727.274 to $688,275 and exports from $3.0 millions to $2.8 millions. Imports from Japan increased from $114.220 to $237.5883, whilst imports from Macao decreased from $589,179 to $421,837. Exports to British Malaya declined from $1.4 millions to $938.674: North China from $164,870 to $32,955; Middle China from $160,292 to $43,358; Kwong Chow Wan from $171,700 to $88,072; Netherlands East Indies from $117,494 to $115,022; Philippine Islands from $241,699 to $151,057, and Siam from $348,962 to $325,680.
SUNDRIES.
Imports of some 167 items of Sundries totalled $43.1 millions as compared with $53.2 millions, and exports $37.4 millions as compared with $49.9 millions.
