General.
(b) The necessary fees or a substantial deposit on secount must be paid before any survey, inspection or other service can be undertaken and all outstanding expenses or balance of fees must be paid before the case can be completed and the required certificate issued.
(c) All fees and expenses must be paid at the Harbour Office,
(d) An official receipt is given for all payments and if official confirmation of a payment is subsequently required a copy of the original receipt will be supplied on payment of $2.

(b) For a certificate for less than 12 months, one-twellth of the full fee will be charged for each month of the period of the certificate but no fee is to he less than three-twelfths of the fall fee or $30 whichever is the greater.
(c) For a new ship or a ship coming under survey for a passenger cortificate for the first time the full 12 months fee will be charged even though a certificate for 12 months may not be required.
(d) When the duration of the certifiente is limited by the Surveyor's declara- tion, owing to special reasons rendering one or more further surveys necessary within the ensning 12 months, the total of the fees paid for the cortificates covering a period of 12 consecutive months is not to exceed the full fee for a 12 months certificate.
(e) If any machinery is fitted on board a ship while the passenger certificate is in force the fee for surveying such machinery is $201.
