TOWN PLANNING SCHEMES IN PROGRESS.
(1) GENERAL
In 1922 a Town Planning Committee was convened and schemes prepared for the im-
provement of existing lay-outs and the development of new areas, both in Hong Kong and
Kowloon. These schemes have been proceeded with and amended as has been found necessary.
During 1934 Development Schemes were prepared for the following areas.
HONG KONG –
Stanley Village (revised scheme).
Lay-out of an area of land at Kennedy Town.
KOWLOON
Development of a portion of King's Park.
Development of the Central portion of Kowloon,
The Lay-out of a Public Promenadle and Boulevarde, Chatham Road.
In addition the work of enclosing and developing of certain areas both in Hong Kong
and Kowloon as Public Play grounds was completed,
