INTERNAL REVENUE, Continued.

STAMP DUTIES:

(8) Certificate of satisfaction,

(9) Mortgage executed in pursuance of a duly stamped agreement for a mortgage,

(10) Transfer of a mortgage made for the purpose of effectuating the appointment of a new trustee, if such transfer is made by some instrument other than the instrument by which the new trustee is appointed.

Exemption.

Reassignment and mortgage made for the sole purpose of obtaining a new Crown lease or for the sole purpose of surrender to the Crown with a view to an exchange: See section 35.

Notarial acts relating solely to transfers of shares on share registers which are not required by law to be kept within the Colony.

31a. Partition Deed ...... $20, together with ad valorem duty as on a conveyance on sale on any sum paid or agreed to be paid for equality.

Where the partition is carried out by several instruments the principal deed will be charged as above, the other deeds each being stamped $20.
