BACTERIOLOGICAL EXAMINATIONS:—
General Directions;—Continued.
2. Each specimen must be accompanied by a written statement having thereon
(1) Name and address of sender,
(2) The provisional diagnosis,
(3) The nature of the examination required.
8. Tissue for section should be placed in 10% formalin solution. IT IS MOST IMPORTANT in these cases that the accompanying statement include the clinical history.
4. Diagnostic examinatious for indigent patioots are performed free of charge, only if the practitioner certifies on the request that the patient is unable to pay a fee, and as long as the work of the laboratory is not interfered with.
3. The Widal reaction for Enteric fever, the examination of Diphtheris swabs, or of material from a suspected case of Plague or Cholera will be done free of charge, for any case within the Colony.
6. Only sterile swabs for use in suspected cases of Diphtheria and oatfits for taking blood for the Widal reaction, will be supplied free.
7. Reports are issued from this laboratory on the strict understanding that they will not be used in any legal proceedings whatsoever.
