Protestant and Roman Catholie Chaplains are appointed.

Religions services are hell for the Church of England prisoners every Sunday,

The Prison is also visited by Roman Catholic Priests, who hold a service on Sundays for both European nul Chinese prisoners.

A religious service is also held regularly every Sunday morning and every Friday afternoon for the henetit of Chinese prisoners by native clergymen belonging to Luu Ion Mission. Attendance voluntary,

They are allowed free access to the Prison at such hours as do not interfere with the discipline of the Prison. Intimation is immediately sent to any Minister or Priest, if at any time a prisoner expresses a desire to see him.

No provision for a lult prisoners, but all are supplie:1 with religious and other books,

A School master instructs the juvenile offemlers. Male prisoners surenced to 2 years and upwards may earn the remission of sentence by industry and good conduct,

Female prisoners sentenced to 2 years and upwards may earn and remission of sentence by industry and good emnilnet.

Male and Female prisoners with sentences of less than years but exceeding 6 mouths may earn th ramission by industry and good conduct.

The Governor may grant remission on medical grounds or for any special reason,
