Conditions 2-

1.—Postage or freight must be prepaid.

2.—Applications and samples should be addressed to the Government Analyst, who will inform the applicant as to the east of the ex- amination, and will give a bill for the same which must be at once paid to the Colonial Treasurer.

3.—The right is reserved of refusing samples from beyond the boundaries of the Colony, or such samples as may not be considered of sufficient publie importance to warrant analysis.

4.—The locality from which the samples come must be clearly described. 5.-Crushed samples will not be reecived for analysis under any

circumstances.

6.—A|| samples andysed will remain the property of the Government, 7.—The Government will not recognise any claims arising from the results

of analysis.

Sebedule of Charges for Bacterialogical Examinations in the Bacteriological Justitute 2—

General Directions:

-

1. Sterile Swabs for use in cases of suspected diphtherin, and outfits for taking blood For Widul's blood examination, will be supplied on application. In other enses requiring barteriological examination, the material must be sent in sterile stoppered bottles or jars, and every precaution must be taken to prevent the entrance of extraneous organisms,

2. Tissues for the preparation of sections, which cannot reach the Laboratory within a few hours of removal, may be placed in 50 per cent, spirit. They al mid if possible be placed in 10% formation solution while still warm. This solution will be supplied if desired,

3. Each specimen nútist be accompanied by a written statement of—(a) the nutno and address of the sender; (8) the provisional diagnosis of the case; (7) n detailed statement of the nature of the examination required. The specimen will not be cxumined unless this is done,
