GOVERNMENT HOUSES, 1921.
HOUSES OCCUPIED AS RESIDENCES BY THE GOVERNOR.
Government House, Albert Road, contains drawing root, dining room, ante room, ball room, billiard room, supper room, card room, maid's room, upstairs sitting room, Governor's office, Private Secretary's and Aide-de-Camp's offices, 11 bedrooms, dressing and bath rooms, servants' rooms, and Garage accommodation.
The house is heated by coal fire and lighted by electricity, part of the cost of which is borne by the Governor.
There are about 5 acres of garden and pleasure groun-ls maintained by the Government.
Furniture, including plate, linen, crockery, and glass, are supplied by the Colonial Govern- ment, the Governor paying 5 per cent, on a proportion in accordance with Colonial Regulations.
"Mountain Lodge", The Peak.-This is a hill residence occupied during the summer months,
It contains drawing room, boudoir, dining room, billiard room, Governor's office, waiting room, Private Secretary's office, 3 drying rooms, 7 bedrooms, dressing rooms, maid's room, and 3 servants' rooms.
The house is heated by coal fire and electricity and lighted by electricity, part of the cost of which is borne by the Government.
The grounds extend to about 43 acres of which about 2 acres are garden and pleasure grounds, maintained by the Government,
