REMARKS.
(1) Aefed ns Cable Pensor in milition to other duties Eroni 1st January to 28th March, and drew an Allowance of $350 in mudition to salary as Director of Education. On 8 months half pay leave from 28th March & - 12th January, 1920. Mr. G. N. Orma actel ne Director of Education from 29th March 10 6th August, and drew balf initial salary of Director of Education and half initial salary of District Officer from 99th Jung to Gth August and drew balf daty pay from 29th March to 6th May and full duty pay from 7th May to Gth August. Drew a fee of $25 for each ex- amination of a Straits or Federated Malay States Cadet.
(2) From 21st February to 6th May received $75 por mensem for performing routine duties of Director of Education unil acted as Director of Education from 7th August to 31st December and drew half initial salary and half daty pay of Director of Education and half initial salary of Inspector of English Schools.
(8) On Active Service since Angust, 1917, Mr. Law Yan-pak acted as Inspector of Vernacular Schools throughout the year and drew half initial salary of Inspector of Vernacular Schools and half initial sclary as Assistant Master up to 8th August. Mr. Cavalier returned from Active Service
on 9th August and was transferred to Wanchai School as Heulmaster on 15th September.
(4) New appointments commencing at $360 each and on
one year's prolation.
