There is an old sil- ver mine in Lautao and an abandoned lead mine at Un In Gap, New Territories. A certain kind of clay is tunnelled for at Un In with which pot- tery is mudo. There is slate unquarried in Piug Chau Island, Mirs Bay, but none of these pinces have ever been investigateil.
