REMARKS.
(9) Acted as Private Secretary in addition to other duties and drew snbury of Private Secretary in addition to salary as Secretary for Chinese Affairs from 1st to 19th January, (10) Mr. S. B. C. Ross acted as Secretary for Chinese Affairs from 20th January to 17th October and drew half initial salary of Secretary for Chinese Afairs and half initial salary plus all increments as District Officer from 24th March to 17th October.
