All ships which enter the waters of the Colony except British and Foreign Ships of War, shall pay the following dues, viz.:—
Two cents per ton.
All River Steamers, which enter the waters of the Colony by day or by night, shall pay five-sixths of a cent per ton.
Licence to deal in, for sporting purposes only, $1,200 yearly.

In the City of Victoria, 13 per cent.

In that portion of the Hill District bounded on the North, South and West by the 700-foot contour, and on the East by a line drawn North and South passing through the Wanchai Gap; and in such other portion of the Hill District as may be hereafter, by order of the Governor, notified in The Gazette, 13 per cent.
In the remaining portion of the Hill District and in Quarry Bay, 12 per cent.
In Yaumati, Mongkoktsui, Kowloon Point, Hunghom, and Hunghom West, 11 per cent.
In Tung Lo Wan, Whitfield and Shaukiwan Road, as far as Inland Lot No. 1620, 10 per cent.
In Hok Un and Tai Kok Tsui, 9 per cent.
In the remaining portion of Shaukiwan Road and in Shaukiwan East and West, Tsing Shui Ma Tau, Po Kau Wat, Sai Wan Ho, and Fuk Tsua Heung, 9 per cent.
In San Tsun or Tai Hang, 7 per cent.
In To Kwa Wan, 7 per cent.
In Aberdeen, Wong-nei-chung, Sookonpo, Kwat Chun Lung, Causeway Bay outside the City Boundary, Ma Tan Wei, Sham Shui Po, and Kowloon City, 7 per cent.
In any other place and on Quarries, 5 per cent.
The Rates are payable quarterly in advance within the first month of each quarter. These Rates are chargeable on, and recoverable from, the owners of the tenements in respect of which the above assessments have been made.
