(1) Allowance for extra work on the arrival of an English or French Mail from Europe, and of a Canadian or Uolted States Mail on a Sunday, on the following scale :--
Salary $1,200 and upwards, $3 per Mail; $600 and under $1,200, $2 per Mail; $480 and under $600, $1 per Mail. The allowance is doubled in the case of an English or
French Mail arriving on a Sunday or holiday.
