Ventilation is as good as pos sible in a ship, and the cubic space allowed to each patient in liberal. On emergency over 110 could be accommodated, giving each 600 feet on upper deck and 900 on lower deck. During the summer months ventilation of the lower deck is not good owing to winds being light or absent.
