Improved varieties of Sugar cane introduced by the Government and distributed to farmers. The cultivation of Pineapples and European vegetables for the Hongkong market has extended during the year at the expense of Chinese varieties, and one Chinese farmer is adopting European agricultural methods onlṣā large scale.
