Piers and Wharves outside of the City of Victeria will be subject to payments calculated at one half the above senle.
In all cases where permission is given by the Surveyor General to crect a pier over Crown Foreshore, and such pier is removed on or before the expiration of one calendar month from the date of granting such permission, the encroachment slll not be sub- ject to Crown Rent,

On fixed Deposits in Local Banks at 5 per cent. per annum, ns also the Interest allowed by the Hongkong & Shanghai Banking Corporation on Current Deposit Accounts, at the rate of 2 per cent, per annum on the daily balance to credit of Government.
