LOCAL REVENUES.
The Chinese inhabitants contribute, by a voluntary assessment among themselves, to the of District Watchmen. They contributed for the year 1892,
and received from the Government a Grant-in-Aid of,
$7,430.17 2,000.00
The Governor appoints to the Office of Watchmen such fit persons as he may consider to be sufficiently recommended by the Inhabitants of any District, under the Provisions. of Ordinance 13 of 1888.
