COURSE OF EXCHANGE.

During the year 1980, the fluctuations in Exchange have been less violent than in previous years, the highest rate for four months Bank Bills touched being 3/108, and the lowest, 3/8).

I am informed that this is accounted for by the fact that during this period there has been no excitement in produce markets, the staples of Tea and Silk having ruled at low values during the year.
