Pay and Uniform of Police Sergeant, Constables and Orderlies

formerly charged to the Police.

Salary, Allowance and Rent to Cadet.

Pay and Uniform of Police Orderly for Government Offices, and

extra pay to 2nd Shroff for collecting Hospital Bills. Stationery purchased in England for 1880 not paid for until 1881.

Increase in Contingencies.

Pay and Luiform of 3 Chinese Constables for Cemeteries formerly

charged to the Police Department.

In 1879 a portion of the expenses for afforestation was charged

to Surveyor General's Department.

In previous years refund of postages was deducted from the gross

Revenue, but in 1880 is classified as expenditure.

Pay and Uniform of 6 Indian and 8 Chinese Constables formerly

paid by the Police Department.

Salaries of Engineer and Shipwright Surveyors under Ordinance 8 of 1879, and Pay and Uniform of 3 Police Constables. Increase in Salaries and Contingencies.

Since Mr. Gibbons' appointment, the duties of the Registrar of

Companies were amalgamated with those of the Reg of S. C. A portion of Colonial Chaplain's Salary for 1879 was not drawn.

Additional Chinese Teachers, and increase in Grant-in-aid.

More expended in 1879 for bedding, medicines, &c., used by the destruction of the Civil Hospital, by fire, December 1878. Increase to Coroner's Salary, and Pay and Uniform of 2 Poles

Constables.

Cost of Steam-launches.

Pay and Uniform of Guol Guards formerly supplied by the Police

Department.

Purchase of a new Steam Fire Engine in 1879, and expenses in

connection with the fire of December 1878.
