No. 220. Publishing Letter of 2nd September, 1872, from Her Majesty's Commissioners for the Exhibition of 1851, relating to the Exhibition proposed to be held in 1873.

No. 227. Publishing Despatel, of the 5th December, 1872, from SIR BROOKE ROBERTSON, C.B., Her Majesty's Consul at Canton, covering Report of the Assay of the New Mexican Dollar at Canton, and a Proclamation on the subject from The Vice-Roy of the Two Kwang Pro- vinces.

No. 231. Fixing the Police and Fire Brigade Rates for the Year

1873; namely:-

The Police Rate at 74 for Houses in the City of Victoria, and at 5 per cent for Houses in the outlying Villages of the Colony; and

The Fire Brigade Rate at 4 per cent for Houses in the City of Victoria-

The above Rates, as regards Houses in Victoria, being exclusive of a Lighting Rate of 14 per cent, and a Water Rate of 2 per cent per annum.

No. 232. Notifying establishment of a New Market at the

Village of Shau-ki Wán.

No. 234. Publishing Order of Her Majesty in Council, of 15th October 1872, for carrying into effect a Treaty between Her Majesty and the King of the Belgians for the Mutual Surrender of Criminals.
