REMARKS.
(1.) Sir Richard Graves MacDonnell arrived in the Colony on the 11th Mareli, 1866, anil on the next day assumed charge of the Government. His Excellency was absent on leave from the 13th April, 1870, to the 8th December, 1871, when he returned to the Colony, and resumed charge of the Government.
(2.) Major-General Whitfeild arrived in the Colony on the 5th August, 1869, and assumed charge of the Administration of the Government on the departure of Sir Richard Graves MacDonnell for England, on tie: 18th April, 1870, from which date to the 7th December, 1871, he drew the Half Salary of the Governor.
