The Military Posts and Works are under the control of Her Majesty's War Department, no expense is incurred on account thereof by the Colony, and they are as follows:-

Military Storehouses and Offices, Arsenal and Military Stove and Powder Magazines at Wang Kong and Mellett's Island;
Murray and North Barracks, General;
Victoria Native Military Hospitals and Hospital Ship "Hercules" moored in the harbour;
Officers' Quarters, with Medical and Barrack Stores at Spring Gardens;
Commissariat Offices and Storehouses;
Saiwan Barrack Buildings;
Stanly Barrack Buildings;
Kowloon Temporary Mat and Wood Hut Barracks.
