REMARKE,

Mr Caldwell entered the Colonial Service on the 19th January

resigned

1843. On the 6a October 1847 he the office he then heed

of

Ani

Chinese Interpreter to the police Court and Assistant Superinterident of police. On the 2nd of December 1847 he rejoined the service as Assistant Inperintendent of police

General Interpreter, which office he held up to the 3rd July 1855 when he again resigned his - Situation under the Government. On the 17th November 1836 he was readmitted into the Colonial Service under his present designation.
