The Accounts of the Colonial Government are kept in accordance with the instructions of the Lords of the Treasury to the Colonial Treasurer; and the different coins of which the receipts consist, and in which the payments are made, are stated in a separate column.
The Accounts of the mercantile establishments are generally kept in Spanish Dollars, at the rate of 4/4 sterling for Dollar.
