Enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and consenl of the Legislative Council thereof.
1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Companies (Ansendateat) Sbon dde sod Ordinance 1979 and shall come into operation on a day to be appointed commencercat. by the Governor by notice in the Gazette.

71A. (1) Any person who is a registered holder of (Cap. 329 shares in a company or who claims to be entitled to have his name entered in the register of members of a company in respect of shares in that company may, if it appears that the certificate (in this section referred to as the "original certificate") relating to the shares is lost, apply to the com- pany in the prescribed form for a new certificate in respect of Buch shares (in this section referred to as the "relevant shares").
