An Ordinance to amend the Legal Practitioners Ordinance.

Enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and consent
of the Legislative Council thereof.
I. This Ordinance may be cited as the Legal Practitioners (Amend. Stort ude. ment) Ordinance 1979.

Section 6(6) of the principal Ordinance is amended by deleting Amentment of "for such perind not exceeding 2 years after his admission as the Com- section 6. mittee may direct" and substituling the following-
(Cap. 179.)

3. The principal Ordinance is amended by adding after section 26 Addiden of the following-
26AA. (1) Notwithstanding any other provisions, no apad enchent person shall be enrolled as student by the Society unless

(a) is the holder of a recognized law degree;
(8) has obtained the Post Graduate Certificate in Laws
awarded by the University of Hong Kong:
