An Ordinance to amend the Summary Offences Ordinance.

[1st July, 1979]

Enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and com sent of the Legislative Council thereof.

This Ordinance may be cited as the Summary Offences (Amend- ment) Ordinance 1978 and shall come into operation on the 1st July 1979.

2. Section 13 of the principal Ordinanes is amended-

(a) in subsection (1) by deleting paragraph (5) and substituting the

following-

"(5) between the hours of 7 p.m. and 7 am. or on any public boliday, uses or causes or permits to be used any powered mechanical equipment for the purposes of carrying out any work,”;

(6) by inserting after subsection (1) the following new subsection

"(IA) It shall not be an offence under subsection (1)&)

(a) for any person to use or cause or permit to be

used a single piece of powered mechanical equip ment for the purposes of carrying out any work on or within domestic premises:
