An Ordinance to amend the Summary Offences Ordinance.

Enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and con-
sent of the Legislative Council thereof.
1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Summary Offences (Amend- Soon die. meot) (No. 2) Ordinance 1977,

3 The principal Ordinance is amended by adding after section AA. Addition oľ the following new section-
"Obleca drapped per bad bags.
48. (1) If anything is dropped or allowed to fall from any building to the danger or injury of any person in or Deir a public place, the person who drops that thing or allows if to fall commits an offence and iš liable to a fine of $10,000 and imprisonment for 6 months,
(2) If anything is dropped or allowed to fall from any building in the course of the construction, repair or decora- tion of the building or part thereof, to the danger or injury of any person in or near a public place, the principal contractor on the site and the contractor carrying out the construction, repair or decoration commits an offence and is liable to a fine of $50,000 and imprisonment for one year.
