Enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof.
L This Ordinance may be cited as the Fixed Penalty (Traffic Con- traventions) (Amendment) Ordinance 1977 and shall come into operation
on a day to be appointed by the Governor by notice in the Gazette.
2. Section 2 of the principal Ordinance is amended-

(s) by deleting the definition of "contravention" and substituting the (Co. 237)
following-
**"contravention” means & contravention of any of the provi-
sions of section 4, section 3. section" 6, section 7 section 8(1), (2) and (4), section 9, section 10 or section 10(1)"; and
(b) in the definition of "proceedings", by deleting "for recovery of
the fixed penalty" and substituting the following-
"under section 16(1).
3. Section 6(2) of the principal Ordinance is amended by delating Amendment of paragraph (8).
