"police officers and public officers attached to the police force":
(5) in paragraph (b) by deleting "inspectors, non-commissioned officers
and constables" and substituting the following-
"police officers and public officers attached to the polica force"; and
(c) in paragraph (c) by inserting after "police officers" the following-
"and public officers attached to the police force".
IZ. Section 45 of the principal Ordinance is amended-
(a) in subsection (1)(c) by inserting after "punishments" the
following-
Fand for compensation to be paid to the Government by a officer for loss or damage of any property entrusted or supplied to him in his capacity as an officer, pc of any Goverment property, and for reimbursement of the Govern ment of any compensation or money reasonably paid by the Government, whether ex-gratia or otherwise, in respect of loss or deatage of any property for the cate or custody of which the officer is responsible, or where such loss or damage results from the neglect or fault of the officer": and
(6) in subsection (2) by inserting after "than gazetted police officers,"
the following-
"for suspension of punishment awarded,".
13. Section 46 of the principal Ordinance is repealed and replaced by the following-
**Palles Keneral orders,
46. (1) Subject to subsection (2), the Commissioner may from time to time make such orders as he thinks expedient to enable him to administer the police force, render the police force efficient in the discharge of its duties and for carrying out the objects and provisions of this Ordinance, and in addition, such orders may provide for any of the malters specified in section 45.
(2) Any orders made under this section shall be called "police general orders" and shall not be inconsistent with this Ordinance or any regulations under section 45.".
14. Section 48 of the principal Ordinance is repealed.
15. Section 49 of the principal Ordinance is amended by inserting after "any member of the police force by office" the following-
"or any public officer attached to the police force".
16. Section 63 of the principal Ordinance is amended by deleting Awo hundred and fifty dollars" and substituting the following-
"Ave thousand dollars".
