An Ordinance to amend the Separation and Maintenance Orders Ordin-
ance.

Enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof.
1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Separation and Maintenance Short uke. Orders (Amendment) Ordinance 1977.
2. Section 5(d) of the principal Ordinance is amended by deleting Amendment of "one bundred and twenty" and substituting the following-
"five hundred".
Section 7 of the principal Ordinance is amended-
(a) by inserting after subsection (1) the following new subsection-
"(IA) The jurisdiction conferred upon the court by sub. section (1) shall be exercisable notwithstanding that the proceedings for the revocation, variation or discharge, as the case may be, of the order are brought by or against a person residing outside Hong Kong."; and
(6) in subsection (2) by deleting from paragraph (5) of the proviso "one hundred and twenty" and substituting the following-
"five hundred”.
