An Ordinance to establish a corporation for the construction and operation of a mass transit railway in Hong Kong, to assume the functions, assels and liabilities of the Mass Transil Railway Provisional Authority and for connected purposes.

Enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof.
PART I
PRELIMINARY
This Ordinance may be cited as the Mass Transit Railway Short de kwel Corporation Ordinance 1975 and shall come into operation on a day to commencement,
be appointed by the Governor by notice in the Gazette.
2 (1) to this Ordinance, unless the context otherwise requires- "Board" means the Board provided for by section 41);
"Chairman" means the Chairman of the Board;
"Corporation" means the Mass Transit Railway Corporation established
by section 3(1K
"inencial year" means—
(a) the period between the commencement of this Ordinance and the
31st December 1975 (inclusive) and thereafter,
(b) each succeeding period of 12 months ending on 31st December,
