Amendment
(6) supplies information to the Director for the pur- poses of subsection (1) which to his knowledge is false or misleading as to a material particular; or (c) puts to sea without having obtained a port clearance, shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction to a fine of $10,000 and to imprisonment for 6 months.".
(1) In subsection (1) by deleting "For every omission to comply with the requirements of this subsection, the master, or other person for the time being in charge shall be liable to a fine of one thousand dollars.".
(2) By inserting, after subsection (1), the following new subsection-me
(1A) If any junk fails to comply with subsection (1). the master or other person in charge of the junk shall be. guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction to a fine of "$4,000.".

(3) In subsection (2) by deleting and in default the owner or master shall be liable to a fine of one thousand dollars",
(4) By inserting, after subsection (2), the following new subsection-
“(24) If any ship, hulk, junk or other vessel to which subsection (2) applies fails to comply with subsection (2) the master and the owner thereof shall each be guilty of ao offence and shall each be liable on conviction to a fine of $4,000.".
(1) In subsection (1) by deleting "liable to a fine of four thousand dollars and to imprisonment for six months" and substiluting "guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction to a fine of $4,000 and to imprisonment for 6 months".

(3) By inserting, after subsection (7). the following new subsection-
*(7A) in the event of a cannon, gun or firearm being discharged from any ship, junk or boat in contravention of subsection (7-
(a) the master or other person in charge of the ship, junk or boal from which the cannon, gun or firearm was discharged; and
(6) the person who discharged the cannon, guo o
firearm,
shall each be guilty of an offence and shall each be liable on conviction to a fine of $2,000.".
(4) In subsection (8) by deleting "liable to a fine of four thousand dollars and imprisonment for six months" and substitul- ing "guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction to a fine of $50,000 and to imprisonment for 2 years".

"(44) If any ship uses any moorings or buoys in con- travention of subsection (4), the master of the ship shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction to a fine of $300 for each day or part of a day during which the moorings or buoys are so used.".

(3) In subsection (3) by deleting "Any master or person in charge who refuses or wilfully neglects to comply with such requirement shall be liable to a fine of four thousand dollars.".
