Enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof.

This Ordinance may be cited as the Prolection of Inves- tors Ordinance 1974 and shall come into operation on a day to be appointed by the Governor by notice in the Gazette.
Short tille and com- mencement.
2. (1) In this Ordinance, unless the context otherwise Interpreta-

"Commission" means the Securities Commission established under
the Securities Ordinance 1974:

"Commissioner" means the Commissioner for Securities appointed
under the Securities Ordinance 1974;
"corporation" has the same meaning as in the Companies (Co. 313
Ordinance:
"credit union" means a credit union registered under the Credit css 110)
