MERCHANT SHIPPING (MARINE COURTS)
(AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS 1971.
lo exercise of the powers conferred by section 58 of the Merchant Shipping Ordinance, the Governor in Council has made
the following regulations-
1. These regulations may be cited as the Merchant Shipping Citation. (Marine Courts) (Amendment) Regulations 1971.
1. The Schedule to the principal regulations is amended in paragraph 3 of Form 1 by deleting "the report/",

Explanatory Note.
(This Note is not part of the regulations, bur is intended to Indicate their general purport).
The practice of furnishing copies of the confidential preliminary investigation report to parties to an investigation or inquiry by a marine court does not accord with the procedure followed in the United King- dom, and is to be discontinued in Hong Kong
24 Regulation 2 deletes the reference to the report in the Notice of Investigation set out in Form 1 in the Schedule to the principal regulations.
