An Ordinance to repeal and replace the Education Ordinance.

Enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof.
PART I.
PRELIMINARY.
1. (1) This Ordinance may be cited as the Education Ordin- ance 1971.
(2) This Ordinance shall come into operation on a day to be appointed by the Governor by notice in the Gazerte, and notices under this subsection may appoint different dates for different provisions of this Ordinance.
2. This Ordinance shall not apply to
(a) the University of Hong Kong established by the Univer-
sity of Hong Kong Ordinance;
(6) The Chinese University of Hong Kong established by The Chinese University of Hong Kong Ordinance;
