4A. If any person in a written statement tendered in evidence in criminal proceed- ings under section 653 of the Criminal Procedure Ordinance wilfully makes a" statement material in those proceedings which he knows to be false or does not believe to be true, he shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on convic- tion to imprisonment for two years and to a dine of five thousand dollara.".
Rule 2 is amended by deleting paragraph (2),

(a) in Part 1, by deleting "51.”;
(b) in Part II, by deleting sub-para-
graph (3) of paragraph 1.
