An Ordinance to consolidate certain penal enactments and to make

consequential amendments connected therewith.

Enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice aud

consent of the Legislative Council thereof.

1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Crimes Ordinance 1971.

Short title.

PART I.

TREASON,

2 (1) A person commits treason if he-

(a) kills, wounds or causes bodily harm to Her Majesty, or

imprisons or restrains Her;

(b) forms an intention to do any such act as is mentioned in paragraph (a) and manifests such intention by an overt act:
