Validation.
(i) inserting in paragraph (†) after "which has been" the following-
"driven or"; and
(b) in subsection (3), by deleting "Any" and substituting
the following-
"Without prejudice to any other provision of this Ordinance authorizing the imposition of any other punishment or penalty, any".
3. Any regulation purporting to be made under the principal Ordinance and to be in force at the commencemeal of this Ordin- ance shall have effect from such date as if the amendments made by section 2 of this Ordinance had been in force the time the regulation was made.

An Ordinance to amend the Inland Revenue Ordinance.

Enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof.
1. (1) This Ordinance may be cited as the Inland Revenus (Amendment) Ordinance 1970.
(2) Sections 3 and 7 (subject to subsection (3) of this section) shall be deemed to have come into operation on 1st April 1970 and shall apply to assessments for the year of assessment com- mencing on 1st April 1970 and to subsequent years of assessment,
(3) Sections 2, 4, 5, 8 and 11 and paragraph (e) of subsection (1) of section 42B as inserted by section 7, shall be deemed to bave come into operation on 1st April 1970 and shall apply to assessments for the year of assessment commencing on 1st April 1971 and to subsequent years of assessment.
