(2) In respect of any works constructed or main- tained by the Director of Public Works in accordance with subsection (1), the powers conferred by this section include powers to-
(a) light the works;
(b) pave, grass or otherwise cover them;
(c) erect pillars, walls, rails or fences on, around
Or across them; and
(d) plant trees, shrubs or other vegetation
thereon.
(3) The Director of Public Works may alter or remove any works constructed under the powers conferred by this section.
(4) Anything done before the coming into opera- tion of the Road Traffic (Amendment) Ordinance 1970 which could lawfully have been done under the powers conferred by that Ordinance if it had then been in force shall be deemed to have been as valid and prop- erly done as if that Ordinance had been in force when it was done.":

1. This Ordinance may be cited as (Amendment) (No. 3) Ordinance 1970,

2. The principal Ordinance is amended by adding, after section 222, the following new section-
222A. (I) Unless otherwise ordered by the court in a particular case, the Registrar may exercise and perform the powers and duties conferred or imposed upon the court by sections 221 and 222.
(2) The Registrar may, if he exercises the juris- diction conferred on him by this section-
(a) refer any examination for hearing by a
