person who, being required under any regula- tion made under this section to lodge a declara- tion with the Director in connexion with the import or export of any article, fails to lodge such a declaration or fails to lodge such a declaration within a prescribed period of time; (g) empowering the Director to waive the payment of any pecuniary penalty imposed under any regulation made under paragraph (f) and to refund any such pecuniary penalty which has been paid:

(h) empowering the Director to specify from time to time the form of any declaration required to be lodged with him under any regulation made under this section:
(2) the protection from disclosure or production,
whether in court or otherwise, of any partic- 2. ulars or other information furnished to or say document lodged with the Director or any other person under any regulation made under this section.": and
(5) inserting the following subsection after subsection (2)-
*(3) No regulation made under paragraph (8). (f) or (g) of subsection (1) shall come into operation until it has been approved by resolution of the Legislative Council.".

An Ordinance to amend further the Employment Ordinance.
[1st April, 1970.]
Enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof.
1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Employment (Amendment) (No. 2) Ordinance 1970 and shall come into operation on the 1st day of April 1970.
2. Section 2 of the principal Ordinance is amended by inserting, after the definition of "maternity leave", the following new definition--
́"rest day" means a continuous period of not less than twenty- four hours during which an employee is entitled to abstain from working for his employer:",
