QUESTIONS

1 Is Government aware that the existing arrangement of the single taxi stand at the Star Ferry Kowloon Concourse is inadequate to cope with demand at peak hours when passengers have to wait unnecessarily long despite the large number of available taxis and will it tell us whether any plans are in hand to improve the situation?

Is consideration being given by Government to the installation of traffic lights at some of the pedestrian crossings in Tsim Sha Tsui where there are lights to control the flow of vehicles but not the pedestrians crossing the road, one example being the two crossings across Nathan Road next to Mody Road?
