EX-GRATIA AWARD TO MRS CHAN LAI-CHUEN UNDER
SECTION 95(1) OF THE INTERPRETATION AND GENERAL, CLAUSES ORDINANCE
The Attorney General:
Resolved, pursuant to section 95(1) of the Interpretation and
General Clauses Ordinance, that the sum of $36, 000 be awarded to Mrs CHAN Lai-chuen of 206 Block 4, Kwai Chung Resettlement Estate, as compensation from the general revenue of the Colony on behalf of herself and the other dependants of Mr YEUNG Cheung who died as a result of injuries sustained in the execution of a duty to assist in resistance to crime and that the said sum be paid through the Director of Social Welfare in such amounts as the said CHAN Lai-chuen shall require.
