Explanatory Note.

These are minor amendments designed to strengthen and clarify the provisions of the principal regulations.
Regulation 3 of the principal regulations prohibits the sale of light diesel oil for marine or industrial use unless the oil has first been treated. These regulations extend this prohibition to the supply of light diesel dit for any such use.
Under regulation 9 of the principal regulations any dealing in light diesel oil which has been treated so as to hinder identification of the marker is prohibited. These regulations extend this prohibition to the possession of any such oil and also so that there will be a similar probibi- tion against dealing in light diesel oil from which the marker has been removed,

原有規藥丸釀規定,凡輕柴油如何加入任何物體而使其所當之悍記物難以辨 開者,均禁止經營日本原茲特將政預禁制範圍擴大,以便禁止藏有該導油對 於已將顧紀物牌除之豐柴油,亦同理類止輕營。

FOOD AND DRUGS (COMPOSITION AND LABELLING) (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS 1969.
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 55 of the Public Health and Urban Services Ordinance, the Governor in Council has made the following regulations--
1.
These regulations may be cited as the Food and Drugs (Composition and Labelling) (Amendment) Regulations 1969 and shall come into operation on the 1st day of November 1970.
Citation and COMMERCement.
Amendment of
2. Regulation 2 of the principal regulations is amended by inserting, after the definition of "container", the following regulation 2 definition-

"frozen confection" means any confection commonly sold for human consumption in a frozen or chilled state:".
3.
The Second Schedule to the principal regulations is amended by inserting after item 6 the following--
"7. Frozen confections.
Every container containing a frozen confection shall be clearly and legibly marked, in English lettering, with the name and address of the person by whom the contents were manufactured.".
