INTERPRETATION AND GENERAL CLAUSES ORDINANCE.

(Chapter 1).

BOOKS REGISTRATION ORDINANCE.

WHEREAS

(Chapter 142).

(1) By section 3 of the Books Registration Ordinance, it is provided, inter alia, that three copies of the whole of every book printed in the Colony shall be delivered by the printer to the officer mentioned in section 5 of that Ordinance:

(ii) By section 4 of that Ordinance, it is provided, inter alia, that one of such copies shall be disposed of as the Governor may by special or general order direct and another one of such copies shall be deposited in such public library or be otherwise disposed of as the Governor may determine:

(310) The Governor is now desirous that the powers exercisable by bim under section 4 of that Ordinance should be exercised on his behalf by the person for the time being holding the office of Director of Urban Services, or Deputy Director of Urban Services, or Assistant Director of Urban Services:

NOW THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 63 of the Interpretation and General Clauses Ordinance, His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to delegate the person for the time being holding the office of Director of Urban Services, or Deputy Director of Urban Services, or Assistant Director of Urban Services to exercise the powers conferred on the Governor by section 4 of the Books Registration Ordinance.
